Creative Marketing

Over my 15 year media career, I created and implemented hundreds of marketing campaigns across all forms of media.
From car dealerships, to restaurants, and beyond, I understand how to reach a brand's audience with engaging content.
When people watch, listen, click, and participate in what you're doing, they become customers.

Co-Founder, Get Sick Productions
I capitalized on a lack of new media advertising in Cincinnati, Ohio by co-founding a viral marketing agency. Used engaging and unique social media, video, and events to help clients achieve advertising goals.
What started as a fun side project turned into an award winning endeavor.
Below are just two examples of what kind of work was done with Get Sick Productions
In 2009, Get Sick Productions produced a series of videos highlighting the benefits of a streetcar system for the city of Cincinnati. Hired by proponents of the issue, Get Sick received city wide media attention for our work.
The issue was passed. |
Rumpke, a multimillion dollar waste removal company based in Cincinnati, hired Get Sick Productions to produce a video for a national contest.
Get Sick Productions "I Can" campaign video won the contest. Rumpke received a monetary grant toward their recycling program. |
Chelsea's Christmas Light Surprise
I created Holiday Help as a way to help needy local families during the holiday season. My goal was to build an annual program that not only helped the less fortunate, but also to create content that was both entertaining and profitable. I worked hard to: find the most compelling stories, organize logistics, tie in client endorsements, and creatively tell the stories on-air and online.
Chelsea's story is one of my personal favorites.
I'm most proud of organically involving a client (Landscaping Company) into an well laid out package that (most importantly) helped people in need. Also, the fact that I found the greatest Santa Claus while I was pumping gas one day.

As a morning show host, my job was to know what people are talking about before they are talking about it.
When brainstorming a trending event, I put it through several filters.
The most important filter, "how can I turn this into my own event?"
In the summer of 2012, I created Support Northwest Arkansas Small Business Appreciation Day as a way to focus on local business rather than talking about a national chicken restaurant protest.
The event turned into a week of social media interaction, entertaining radio, and good old-fashioned hand shaking. I was directly responsible for starting an organic local campaign based off of an international news story. Through writing press releases, I was able to cross promote my event on local television by getting the local news inolved.
I also managed to incorporate several paying clients all while providing engaging entertainment for my audience.

Northwest Arkansas's Longest Running Food Drive: The Canned Food Campout

I moved to Fayetteville, Arkansas in 2003 and noticed a large homeless population.
Being an affluent area (Walmart and Tyson HQ), many residents of Northwest Arkansas weren't aware of poverty concerns.
I developed, organized, executed the Canned Food Campout (CFC) to help combat this problem. Over the 10 years of its existence, the annual CFC has raised millions in donations and dollars for LifeSource International and other community organizations. The CFC has also turned profitable, as it created sponsorship opportunities for Walmart, Community Coffee, and many local businesses.
